After the success of the original X Games, player feedback and new technology allowed Electrocoin to develop a 2 screen version of X Games using the Top screen to display the stakes and prizes and new bonus rounds and features. X Games II was built on a faster PC and allowed for better graphics and features than its predecessor. The new cabinet was named simply Electrocoin Dual screen and has seen over 500 machines built to date. As the market changed, for the first time Electrocoin was able to release new games to market every few months and they could be installed onto any cabinet quickly and easily through the use of USB sticks.
X Games II also allowed upto 3 machines to be connected together to provide community gaming and allow players to collectively enter the bonus round therefore encouraging players to time their spins together to ensure their winnings were maximised.
